Clustered in a shoe box in the closet,
Scattered in the bottom of a sock drawer,
Or forgotten in a trunk in the attic …
Are treasured birthday presents and spectacular weddings,
The laughter of family and friends,
First cars, senior proms and the old farmhouse
The ocean
Babies’ first steps … pets caught in the act
Beautiful sunsets and busy vacations
Reunions, school plays, and that perfect day at the zoo …
Photographs … memories …
Photos are to be enjoyed - not tucked away where they’re destined to be faded and forgotten. They are the stories of our history and our heritage that need to be preserved so they may be passed down to the generations to come. Photos should be repaired so you can appreciate them now and later. After all, we cared enough to the photos of the things we never want to forget. Let’s not forget to care for the photos.
I enjoy retouching and restoring photographs – making that almost perfect picture beyond compare and bringing back those that have become yellowed, torn and stained. I take pride in my work; I find it rewarding. Restoring an old photo or retouching a new one I feel as though somehow I recaptured a special moment in time …
A moment that will never ‘be’ again.
